She’s the one who’s always enthusiastic to see you walk through our doors, the owner of the spa as well as a long time electrolysis pro (and esthetician). With so many hats on, it is no wonder she’s been successful in this industry. Here, a little bit more about Dana you may not know (yes, even if you have been doing electrolysis with her for the last 10 years!)
How did you get into the skincare/spa industry?
When I was in college in Vermont I was working with an electrologist who was interesting, vibrant, and loved her work. Like many college graduates, I had no idea what career to pick so I moved to Breckenridge to be a ski bum, then up to Boulder. I was hiking Sanitas when it hit me to become an electrologist. There was a school in Denver and the rest is history. I felt that adding skincare and laser hair removal would be a perfect fit.
What treatment do you like to perform the most?
My best day is when I’m performing a variety of treatments. All of our treatments are so effective and make our clients so happy, it’s fun to stay hands on with everything from MicroNeedling to laser hair removal.
What are some of your favorite things to do on your time off?
Spend time with my daughters, Myla and Elise…they are the lights of my life. We go hiking and camping in the summer and skiing in the winter. We live up in Nederland, an amazing family community, so much of our time is spent doing what we love with our friends up there.
What are you most proud of at Barris?
I am most proud of the staff at Barris. My employees have been with me for a long time. They have a passion for skincare and a real connection to our clients. Barris is my second home and the staff is my family. I’m very proud of what we have created, as a team.
