With February behind us, you can take a deep breath knowing we’re one step closer to Spring. What we are taking with us from last month is the inspiration floating the runways at New York Fashion Week and the red carpet at the Academy Awards. From graphic nail art (which is still in full force!) to cherry red lips and fresh, dewy complexions (the no-makeup makeup look, really), we are loving the fresh spin on trusted styles. Here are some of our favorite spring beauty trends, from the cat walks in NYC to the hills of Hollywood-

Blue Eye Makeup

Whether in powder or electric cobalt blue, models at shows like Marc Jacobs and Jill Stuart paraded down the runway with their lids and/or lash lines painted pretty in blue. Call it a 70s revival but we’re digging it!

Non-chalant knots, braids & twists; easy breezy styles perfect for air-dried hair!

Chrissy Teigen looked glowy and beautiful in a dreamy windswept and textured ponytail at the Oscars, while a handful of catwalks at NYFW featured windblown braids. Want to take your pony from everyday to glam? Try teasing hair at the crown and adding a center part and loose wisps of hair in the front to get that relaxed yet put together feel.

Bold Lips

Sure, a bold red lip is always a classic. But this season, you should expect
the lip to get even louder and to come in unexpected hues, from the rouge noire strains at Rodarte to the pop-y summery colors like the tangerine Olivia Munn donned to the Oscars, or the pretty raspberry lip on Brie Larson.

Adorned Hair

From black bands to gilded combs and pretty barrettes, Spring hair will look effortlessly adorned. The look should resemble that of a grungy girl doing her hair in a 40s style but with very little thought for unfussy, cool girl glamour.

Want to create your own look? Infuse some boho girl glamour in your locks with one of Sami’s feather clips!
