Ever wonder what the skincare routine of an esthetician looks like? Wonder no more!
We asked our lovely skincare specialist and lead esthetician, Samantha, to share her daily skincare routine with us. Here’s what it looks like, in her own words:
I know I have a pretty in depth skincare regimen, but you do not have to do all these steps to have great skin. A girl’s best friends are a good cleanser, an eye cream and SPF. If you live in Colorado there’s a good chance you can relate to feeling dry. Use a cleanser for your skin type that won’t strip it away completely. Keep your skin hydrated to reduce redness and have glowing skin. Prevent against aging effects of the sun with a good SPF. I also try my hardest to drink lots of water and have at least one cup of green tea a day. Take some time to develop a skincare routine that works for you. With a little work, you can achieve a beautiful healthy glow, no matter what your skin type.
cleanse
As some of my clients know, I am prone to breakouts and I have a dry/normal skin type. My skincare routine is very effective for keeping my acne under control. I prefer to have both an active cleanser and gentle cleanser to switch on and off with.
I wash my face in the evening and in the morning I always leave my natural oils on. A lot of people over wash their skin, at which point it gets dry and irritated. Your natural oils are so good for skin; you don’t want to strip them away all the time.

eye creme
Image makes my favorite eye cream really hard to pick because they are all so great! I am constantly rotating them and go through the Image rainbow. With my skin type being dry, sometimes it becomes sensitive depending on the season and my recent treatments. I usually keep two eye creams handy:

To seal in my serum and eye cream, I always follow with a moisturizer.
