If you’ve seen a gorgeous brunette parading around the spa with a feather clip in her hair (which she makes herself, btw), then you’ve met our lovely esthetician and massage therapist, Sami. She started working here at Barris in the Spring of 2014 but her passion for skincare started when she was a little girl. She was always making her own homemade masks and tending to friends’ skincare issues. Sami has been an aesthetician for 10 years, a massage therapist for 5 years and has worked with lasers and IPL for 5 years. She believes in taking a holistic and clinical approach when creating a treatment protocol because everyone deserves to have radiant, healthy, clear and balanced skin. She loves customizing facials and treatments and enjoys taking time to build personal relationships with each client. Her goal is to see immediate improvements, then establish a home maintenance routine that the client is comfortable with to achieve lasting results. She believes that nurturing ourselves inside and out is very therapeutic; it can provide healing for our souls.

Sami’s Factoids

  • I have a 3 year old daughter, Annelyse, who is the light of my life. Her beauty takes my breath away. Her compassionate heart, adventurous spirit, and hazel eyes remind me everyday that there is still good in this world.
  • I’ve been with my boyfriend Chris for 4 years now but we met each other 12 years ago when we both worked at Club Vinyl in Denver.
  • One of my favorite quotes: “You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean, in a drop.” -Rumi
  • I would prefer to be barefoot. If not, then in sandals.
  • My favorite food is ramen!!! I am a little obsessed… just a little bit.
  • Native to CO, I have always loved spontaneous trips to the mountains. Camping, hiking, snowboarding and road trips; any excuse to leave town and get lost in the mountains.
  • I read a lot of books, and I am a helpless romantic at heart. I loved reading all of Nicolas Sparks books and seeing the movies after I read them. I am currently reading a time travel book, The Love That Split The World by Emily Henry. Its so good I can’t put it down!
  • I love to sit down and get crafty! Craft time, making art or collages is very therapeutic for me. If you come visit the spa you will see some of my feather hair clips.
  • If I had my way I would start everyday with a hot yoga class and find myself at a Zumba class in the evening. I’m kind of a work out junky!
